Easy as ...pencils

I hope everyone gets a good laugh out of this. Wednesday as I was leaving the Fitness Center, I put Max in his car seat and shut the door. He locked it and I went to press the button on my key chain to unlock my door. It wouldn't open. What was I going to do? It has been almost 4 years that we have had the car, the battery in the keyless entry must have died. Crap, I would have to get a lock smith, call Jeff maybe, did anyone have a hanger? I spent a good five minuets worring about leaving Max to go get help, can I leave him in the cold car? Stupid keyless entry....Keyless...key, oh right I have the key right here in my hand. Ladies and Gentleman, Last Wednesday, for the first time in almost 4 years, I opened my car with the key.

easy as pencils? what do pencils have to do with it? except...i remember Sam saying something like that when we were trying to teach my sweet autistic brother about idioms. :)

That's right it was Sam. I was trying to remeber where I had heard that... I was close, I knew it had something to do with Joe. I have always liked it. It poped into my mind when I was narrating the easy part.

I TOTALLY understand! You were too worried about Max to remember that you had to open the door like a caveman! That's a funny story though.

Funny story...I can see myself doing that same thing....thankfully I have kids old enough to open the door for me now...
