It's that time again..
1. Angel Soft Toilet Paper: I have been a valued customer of the brand for many years. They were cheap but no too cheap quality....until now. The worst part is that I bought the 24 pack of double rolls thinking that I didn't want to run out while dealing with the baby. I haven't decided yet how much their new cardboard texture bothers me...enough to go buy another brand and scrap the 24 rolls I have, or can I make it through? HOW CHEAP AM I??
2. Air Poppers: Have you ever noticed how snobby people who air pop their popcorn are? I like air pop but I also like microwave, I don't discriminate. I don't even have an airpoper cause microwave is just so easy. But I haven't met an airpopper who doesn't look down upon microwavers with disgust! Why can't they just enjoy their corn without feeling the need to go on and on about how wrong the other kind is. I get it you like your popcorn.
3. Men who are afraid of me: Now I know that there have been lots of people afraid of me over the years for various reasons and some of them rightfully so, but I have yet again reached that point in my pregnancy where I am looking big and guys are looking at me like, "Oh man is she gonna go into labor right in front of me? Will I have to do/see anything? I should run away just in case." This happened to me a lot with Max. Guys wouldn't get in an elevator with me.(Not that I really minded the privacy) I guess it really bothers me this time cause I don't feel so big. I am much smaller and should not be scary to men yet, (atleast not for that reason.)
4. A lack of care by our ward for the safety of our children: (That title's gonna get some heat) Atleast four months ago (probably even longer) the safety gate on our nursery door broke and was taken away. Was it replaced? No! Have I asked for it to be reaplaced? Several times. The room is a large two doored room and one of the doors has a gate but the other does not. To make things worse for some design flaw reason whenever one door is shut the other pops open. Now we have two very capable nursery leaders, but with 10+ kiddies in the room it would be so easy for one of them to get out and into the parking lot (which is what happened twice before the original gates were installed.) What is the ward waiting for? Does a child need to be run over before a gate is purchased? Are we that lacking in funds?

My advice:
1.Cottoneel
2. Orville...Simply Salted...Microwave
3. You aren't scary...but you make mean pie.
4. I am So with you on the gate thing. Maybe we should meet up and fix it ourselves...DURING church.
I am totally snobby about my popcorn! I do like regular microwave stuff, I mean, you can't beat lunch with no clean up..but that little microwave presto power pop will change your world.
the baby gate. You forgot to mention the whole reason the gate broke in the first place...unsupervised use of the nursery during a midweek activity at the church.
And the whole Hand Foot & Mouth outbreak at church that happens every year. H1N1 at church is just icing on the lack of child safety cake. I think they are doing well with the parent pick-up policy in the primary room, though. I like knowing that Reese isn't wandering the building looking for me. And the windows on the doors have been a nice upgrade. I wonder how difficult it would be to show up on a tuesday night when the youth are in the building and just swap the mystery-opening door with another door in the building? All it takes is a screwdriver to push the door pins up, and then you just need to find another door that swings the same direction to swap it with. Hmmmmm...
