Not Actually That Fun

I had enough guilt after not really taking Max out to play in the snow a few weeks ago, so yesterday I decided to be a good mom. We got all bundled up and after about five min. Max turned to me and said, "Mom this isn't actually all that fun." Too true. I think there is something about being the oldest and not having anyone to really play with that makes snow a bit disappointing. I think later this week we will have to arrange a snow play date with some older kids.

partly it's the temperature too. And snow style. Wet snow can be made into things. Dry powder is only good for sliding on, which is tricky to get just right. That usually need friends, a hill, and most of day of practice. Things that don't happen in really cold weather.

I made a little pull sled that fits the Roo (18montsh) and he wimpered as he was pulled behind. =(

Ha that's funny. :) It is more fun with a sled and a big hill...I'm just glad he got to go out and find out for himself instead of waiting until he's 18 and in college before seeing real snow.
