Things That Must Go VI

Has it really been since last March that I have listed my minor vents, ahh progress.

1. Target Blowers: There are so many things about our new Target store that I could complain about but I am going to pick the worst offender, the blowers in the ladies bathroom. I have always hated blowers, I don't know if it is because I am too lazy to wait for my hands to properly dry, or too lazy to rub them together, or if I just like the secure feeling of knowing that the paper towel will get my hands completely dry, but I just all around hate them. The ones at our new Target are the worst! They are industrial strength, which you think I would like, less time/more dry. But they are so strong they blow my hand fat around! I realized a few years ago that my hands had put on a bit of weight, but I really hate this new visual reminder.

2. Fast Food Overcompensation: I am a bit of a picky eater, always have been. It took me over 15 years to let them put sauce on my Taco Bell Bean Burritos. I am getting so much better, (I think I almost gave my dad a heart attack when I told him I now eat Supreme Pizza,) but I still don't like Mustard, pickles, and many other things. So when I order a hamburger from any fast food joint and ask for my custom requirements, Ketchup, lettuce, and onions- NO Mustard, Pickles, Mayonnaise, or Cheese, the people seem to think in their heads, "No Mustard? Well surely they must want three extra helping of Ketchup!" No I do not. It sometimes drives me back to my original childhood order of a plain hamburger.

3. Max and Ruby's Parents: I love the Max and Ruby books by Rosemary Wells. In fact that is how Max got his name, I thought the Max bunny was so cute. The cartoon on Nickelodeon I am not so fond of. The voices are annoying and it tends to suffer from the too much of a good thing syndrome. Unfortunately Max has become obsessed with them. He wants to watch it all the time. Okay, fine we have gone through so many phases with Max and this one will pass too, its not too bad. My only seriously grip is that the two bunnies never have parents, poor Ruby is constantly taking care of Max. No child should have that much responsibility. I have to say that for the most part she takes it really well, but it sometimes really bothers me.

4. "You look pregnant.": There are a lot of annoying things that people say to pregnant women, and almost all of them I let slide off my back, but I really hate this one, and have been getting it a lot lately. "REALLY, I DO! Hmmm, I better have that looked at. It could be serious." There is now no denying I am pregnant. I look it, but really, I am aware of it so you don't need to let me know. We are paying a lot of money to make sure that someone trained will be there to catch the baby in September, but thanks for the concern.

I'm with you on #4!! The correct comment would be, "Wow, you look great! How far did you say you are again? You don't look it."

Addison too loves Max and Ruby. It has crossed my mind plenty of times that they don't have parents. I hate that it airs at 5:30 in the morning, on Cox, now that it is summer so I have been recording a few, but Addison doesn't mind watching them over and over.
