Cousins

Okay I couldn't leave things like that. So on the plus side I did get to go to Utah and see mine and Jeff's family. It was great to spend time with everyone. There wasn't enough time to go around. We were very blessed to have a place to stay with jeff's sister. Her new house if beautiful and just down the street from the new temple (Lucky duck!) We had a great barbacue with the Larkins and it was fun to see max playing with his cousins.

Not a Good Summer

Well I am feeling a bit down today and have realized that it has kinda been a bad summer. As previously metioned My grandfather passed, which one you ask, well in my mind I only had one; my father's father Harmon Jex Tobler. I suppose it was his time to go and a good thing, but it was very sad for me anyway. This is the only man I ever thought of as my grandpa, and he was a great friend. I can only think of good memories when I think of him. Sad number two, my very best friend here in Arkansas (Not to be confused with my best friend in Utah, Maryann,) let me know that she feels that she is a worse person for hanging out with me the past two plus years. Hmmm... I suppose I should go into detail but I'll let you all decide if your lives are worse off for knowing me. (Please don't let me know if so, I don't think I could take it.) Then on a less sad note, Jeff's family dog died after almost a good ten years. We were lucky that we got to see her in Utah before she passed. This honestly didn't affect me since I cared little for the dog, but it sure bummed out Jeff, especially since his family didn't bother to tell him until a week later. And finanally when I was getting really bummed, a ray of hope, Jeff and I got pregnant. I was so excited and happy coming up with names and plans. Yesterday I lost the baby and while I know it is probably for the best, I can't help but be a bit sad. I am not posting this for sympathy as much as for a release of emotion. You all know I have never been good at holding back, so this summer has been hard and now I need to vent. So there it all is. Please don't stop reading, I promise I will not go on and on like this again. I am determined the next post will be happy.

Cow Day at Chick-fil-a

Today was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a.
If you dressed up as a cow you got free food.
Simple enough.

Ode to Lulu

I have been blurking around for the last few min. (okay I'll admit it for like a half hour,) and I realized that I am just lonely and missing my friends and family. I decided that I would like to take a min and tell the blogging world how much I love and admire my sister Krista. She is my best friend, sans Jeff of course, and a wonderful person. I have always wanted to be like her, do what she was doing, hang out with her. She is the funniest person I know, no one in this world can make me laugh the way that she does, that side aching laugh where the tears come out and I start hyperventilating. Actually this became a problem when she escorted me through the temple, but that's another story. I have always thought she was the most beautiful girl, she has a stunning face and a cheerful smile. She is the most wonderful mother. I loved having her come and stay with me last winter. She was an excellent example of patience and good parenting. I know that after Jeff and I, no one loves Max more then her, she always treats him as one of her own children. I trust her completely with him. I have always been so proud of her for serving a mission, urg in Brazil of all places, and sticking it out through the hard times. Anyone who can spiritually use Homer Simpson in a Sunday School lesson is a spiritual pillar. Most of the best memories of my childhood include her and I want to thank her for letting me play with her. I could go on forever on this topic, but I hear something suspicious from the living room where Max and the dog are, so I leave it to anyone checking this blog who know Krista to add their fond memories (and a note to Lu, if no one adds a comment, it is most likely cause no one reads this blog and not a reflection on other people's low opinion of you.)

It all comes from having seen The Two Towers too many times.

Five Years! My mother always said that it is the people with bad marriages that brag about how good their marriages are, so I should probably keep this post short. I just want to say that I am still super in love with Jeff. He is such a great husband and father. I am really very blessed that he is too blinded by my red hair to see all my flaws. (heaven knows what will happen when I start to gray) Ooo and I got a diamond wedding band and a diamond and emerald band to celebrate. I love to play dress up with my rings and play princess. (pictures will be forthcoming) As for the title of the blog it is in reference to our first kinda date. We had both seen the Two Towers a few times in the theater when some of our fellow coworkers at the BYU Bookstore decided to go see it on IMAX as a group and have dinner before hand at the Mayan (a ridiculous restaurant where people are wearing speedos while you are eating something I am always against. Jeff and I decided to go along with the group but saw a different movie together. (Catch Me If You Can) We both felt something that night, although he didn't walk me to my door. Our fist official date was two days later.

Long Time Gone

Yes, it has been a long time gone with little excuse except laziness, but for those of you who know me this is really no suprise. Or maybe it is. I like to think that I hide my laziness pretty well, perhaps it's depth is really only known to my sister, Krista and Jeff. Anywho, the month if June has been filled with my five year wedding anniversary, the dissolution of a very close friendship, and the death of Grandfather. Wow, maybe I was just too depressed to blog....nah gonna go with laziness.
