I have decided in celebration of two fantastic years I would post my ten favorite pictures of Max. After all the blog is called Maxed out. So today's entry is from our visit to my parent's farm last summer.

Will you shave your head for me?

So with the baby still growing in my fallopian tube it was time to kick treatment into high gear. Friday afternoon I went to the oncology clinic and got a shot of Methotrexate, a chemotherapy drug. The people at the clinic were super nice and helpful, which is a nice change from my ob's office. It was a little awkward sitting in the waiting room with all the old people and having them give me pity looks. I wanted to shout out, "I don't have cancer, you don't need to feel sorry for me." Not cause I don't like pity, just not from the more pitiful. The scary part was the actual injection. It was supposed to be one shot, but they broke it into two for some reason. The sucker was neon yellow. I usually don't mind shots, always preferable to getting blood drawn, but neon yellow! It was not a color found in nature. I have a wicked bruise on one hip, which I like to show Jeff every time it gets darker, and I feel like crap. I keep waiting to see if my hair will fall out, which they say is possible. I am asking now, who among you will shave your hair in solidarity with me?

Ladies Night

I had a twilight series party at my house tonight. It was great to get so many women from my ward together to chat and have yummy food. It would seem that I am greatly outnumbered in my ward in regards to my being a member of Team Jacob. I guess some people just like overbearing, condescending boyfriends. But regardless it was a blast. I especially like the ladies who showed up who hadn't even read the books but just wanted to party! (who am I to deny a good time) I would also like to thank Hillary for her fantastic cheesecake. Everyone brought such good food, I am really going to need to go to the gym after this week. This has been an excellent distraction, and it forced Jeff to put the baseboards back up in the living room, so really everybody won.

Health Update

Well turns out it wasn't exactly a miscarriage. I actually have an ectopic pregnancy. Which means it is in my fallopian tube not my uterus. There is no way of saving the baby and the longer it stays there, the greater the risk to me and my reproductive system. Most likely next week I will go see an oncologist who will give me some chemotherapy shot that will take care of the whole thing. Lucky me. I am actually doing better now that I know exactly what is going on and have a game plan. Jeff and I will probably wait awhile before we try again, cause that is what feels right. I am so grateful for all the prayers that have been sent my way. I have been blessed to have so many friends and family to help me through this. I am also so grateful to all my friends who blog. I get so much enjoyment catching up with all your adventures, it has been the best part of my summer; rediscovering all of you again.
